BIHELDON tablets for dogs and cats
Praziquantel 50 mg
Pyrantel pamoate 150 mg
Content of active ingredients and excipients:
Each tablet contains the active ingredients: Praziquantel 50.00 mg, Pyrantel pamoate 150.00 mg and excipients: Lactose monohydrate, Wheat starch, Povidone, Talc, Magnesium stearate.
Therapeutic indications:
For the treatment and prevention of cestodes (caused by Echinococcus granulosus, E. multilocularis, Taenia multiceps, T. ovis, T. pisiformis, T. taeniaeformis, T. hidatigena, Dipilidium caninum, Diphyllobothrium erinacei, Mesosestoides corti) and nematodes ( caused by Toxocara canis, T. cati, Toxascara leonina, Uncinaria stepnocephala, Ancylostoma caninum) in dogs and
cat. It can also be used in pregnant and lactating dogs and cats.
The BIHELDON tablets product is a combined product with anticestodic and antinematodic action. Praziquantel destroys young and adult forms of all tapeworms that parasitize dogs and cats. Echinococcus granulosus, E. multilocularis, Taenia multiceps, T. pisiformis, T. taeniaformis, T. hidatigena, Dipylidium caninum, Diphyllobothrium erinacei, Mesocestoides corti. Pyrantel acts antinematodically against young and mature forms of the nematodes Toxocara canis, T. cati, Toxascaris leonina, Uncinaria stenocephala, Ancylostoma canunum, A. braziliense, Opistordus felineus. Its action against Trichuris vulpis is weak. With the application of BIHELDON tablets, practically complete deworming of dogs and cats affected by teniosis and roundworms is achieved.
Contraindications:
Do not use in dogs and cats under four weeks and in kittens under six weeks, but this is not for toxicological reasons, but because deworming is not necessary.
Adverse reactions:
Very rarely, in neglected or severely emaciated and exhausted animals, vomiting, loss of appetite and diarrhea have been observed during treatment with BIHELDON, which do not require special therapeutic intervention. If you notice any serious or other effects from the use of this product that are not described in this leaflet, please inform your veterinarian immediately.
Dosage for each type of animal, method and method of administration:
It is administered orally and directly in one dose:
2 - 2.5 kg (animal weight): 1/4 tablet
2.5 - 5 kg (animal weight): 1/2 tablet
6 - 10 kg (animal weight): 1 tablet
11 - 15 kg (animal weight): 1 and 1/2 tablets
16 - 20 kg (animal weight): 2 tablets
21 - 25 kg (animal weight): 2 and 1/2 tablets
26 - 30 kg (animal weight): 3 tablets
31 - 35 kg (animal weight): 3 and 1/2 tablets
36 - 40 kg (animal weight): 4 tablets
The treatment is applied 3 - 4 times a year.
Tip for correct application:
Do not apply together with the food of the day
Special conditions for product storage:
To be kept out of sight and reach of children.
Store below 25 degrees Celsius.
Store in a dry place.
Keep out of direct sunlight.
Do not use after the expiry date shown on the package.
Special warnings:
Do not use together with levamisole, piperazine and organophosphorus compounds, as they have a similar mechanism of action to pyrantel and the latter can increase its toxic effect.
Special measures for the destruction of unused product or its residues (if any):
BIHELDON must not be disposed of with household waste or waste water. Ask your vet what to do with unnecessary tablets. These measures will help protect the environment.
Any veterinary medicinal product or its residues must be disposed of in accordance with local legislation.
